The delicacy made from the finest cuts of pork and carefully selected paprika is made by hand – from the preparation of filling, stuffing into a natural casing (“katica”), all the way to smoking.
After maturing for several months, Baranja kulen gets its recognisable appearance and flavour, highly valued among lovers of mildly spicy food and among those who value the heritage and origin of a product with a rich tradition created by interwoven cultures.
The name “Baranjski kulen” is protected and registered in the European Union, and it bears a PROTECTED GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATION.
