Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara is one of the most famous dishes in the world. It originated in Italy and consists of just a few ingredients. However, even though it seems simple, it is crucial to properly mix in the eggs to avoid scrambling them.

Ingredients

  • 250 g spaghetti
  • Salt for cooking spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 25 g Belje Baranja bacon, diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 g Parmesan
  • Black pepper

Preparation

  1. Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente (follow the instructions on the packet).
  2. Meanwhile, fry the bacon in a deep pan using a little bit of olive oil. Fry for a few minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Season the bacon with black pepper, add the drained spaghetti, stir and remove from heat.
  4. Beat the eggs with a fork and add the grated Parmesan. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the spaghetti, stirring constantly.
  5. Once everything is mixed together, your carbonara is ready to eat.
  6. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan.
